Sitting this morning at our favourite small local restaurant having breakfast. Our arrival on Bali was met with a wave of heat and humidity as we stepped off the plane. Afterall we are only 9 degrees latitude south of the equator, so a bit of heat and wet air is to be expected. We of course immediately had a small problem getting money out of an ATM, but that problem resolved it was off for a walk on the local beach. Not quite the beach in Maroochydore, but a big beach nonetheless with many youngsters soaking in the rays.
Then we found a place for a few of the local beers and as we had travelled all day and gained a few more hours on our watches we had an early dinner.
Yesterday was spent trying to sort out our plans for the remainer of the trip in Bali. That task completed we found a local driver named Putu who took us south to see the Hindu temple at Uluwatu. The temple is situated on a high cliff and is known for its population of agressive, hat and sunglasses stealing monkeys!
But the temple was pretty good as well...situated beautifully on a high cliff over the sea.
Nice views too...
