Busy days! I'll post a couple of entries to catch up.
Annemarie and I finished up the cycle tour the way we began...together. We road off to have a look see on our own and it turned into a very nice day. Last night we were invited by the crew to stop for a drink where they were hanging out as we wandered by. The bar was on this barge and we discovered this very cool pub down below.
The next day we were up and away fairly early as we looked for a place to land the bikes.
Off we rode and soon we were alone with European type nature.
And small towns along the canals.
We arrived into Brugge early afternoon and had the rest of the day to poke around.
A pretty little city, but if we thought that Ghentwas touristic, well, Brugge takes the cake! But as always, if you look at the edges of the town, there are always gems to be found.
Then into the core...the heart beat of the tourist zone!

One of the old city gates...we stopped on the other side for our lunch then rode on.
Thoughly saturated with selfie sticks we headed for the boat to find that the rest of the team had just arrived having got lost twice, had two flat tires and a none cooperative team member! We had had the better day for sure! However, soon that was put to rest and the wine and beer plus a nice dinner put most into a good mood!
A few sad partings, but who knows in this world. Paths often cross again! 
I'm continuing to find Camino routes as we cross this area. I don't think the Camino is quite done with me yet.

Finding the scallop shell--you're right, that might be a sign. Imagine walking to Santiago from Brugge! That would be quite an adventure.
Soon you'll be planning another adventure. Any thoughts about what it will be?
